Turning on claims in Alberta
The question: How do we turn on AHCIP claims for our clinic?
An Alberta clinic turns claims on in setup, or any time later from Settings: the clinic or facility name, the AHCIP billing provider number, the facility number if there is one, a confirmation that the clinic operates in Alberta, and acceptance of the AHCIP billing terms. We verify the clinic and aim to confirm within one business day; claims unlock on approval.
Where
Setup's optional second step, or any time later from Settings. Skipping it at setup costs nothing.
What you enter
- The Alberta clinic or facility name.
- The AHCIP billing provider number.
- The facility number, if there is one.
- A confirmation that the clinic operates in Alberta.
- Acceptance of the AHCIP billing terms.
Then
We verify the clinic and aim to confirm within one business day. Claims unlock on approval.
Keeping it right
The clinic keeps its identifiers current in Qlynic (practitioner identifiers, business arrangement numbers, facility numbers) and tells us when something changes.
Outside Alberta
Outside Alberta, claims and claim codes aren't available; claims to the province need a verified Alberta clinic.
