AHCIP billing fees

No, to both — Qlynic is $89 per doctor per month and nothing else: no percentage of an assessment, no charge per claim, no charge to correct and resubmit a rejection however many times it takes, and no separate billing service to hire.

What is not on the invoice

  • No percentage of your assessment. What Alberta Health assesses is what reaches your account — not on a $38.03 office visit, not on a $172 procedure.
  • No per-claim fee. Forty claims on a Tuesday or four hundred; the Qlynic invoice does not move.
  • No charge to fix a rejection. Rejections come back into the same screen with the explanatory code translated; correcting and resubmitting costs nothing.
  • No separate billing service. Submission, reconciliation and the chart are one system.

Why

H-Link itself is free: Alberta Health does not charge a clinic to submit a claim, and describes the service as free to use. Every per-claim fee on a clinic's bill is a private company standing in the middle of a route that did not need one. Arxeon is an accredited H-Link submitter, so your claim leaves Qlynic and arrives at Alberta Health with no third party in the path.

Do you still need a billing agent?

Not for the submission itself — building the claim, sending it, reading the assessment and resubmitting a correction all happen in Qlynic, in the same record as the visit. Clinics that want a person reviewing their billing keep doing that; the agent becomes optional rather than structural.

Worth checking

If you bill through an agent or a gateway today, that cost comes off the top before you see it. Find the rate in your current arrangement and put it beside $89 per doctor.
