Where AI is used, and the rules it follows
AI drafts and suggests — the visit note, the booking conversation over SMS, an allergy cross-check on a suggestion, intake-form questions, the advisor's answers about your own records — and a clinician reviews every one before it counts; processing runs through Anthropic under a data processing agreement with no model training and minimized retention, and speech-to-text runs on Azure AI Speech in Canada.

Where AI appears
- AI Scribe — drafts the SOAP note from the room's own audio and proposes billing codes checked against Alberta's tables.
- Two-way SMS — holds the after-hours booking conversation and books only through the clinic's own validator.
- Prescribing — suggests medications and re-checks every suggestion against the recorded allergies in local code.
- Intake forms — drafts a questionnaire from one sentence.
- AI Advisor — answers operational questions with twenty-one read-only queries of your own records.
- Reviews — reads the written comment on submit (a keyword pass, not a model call) so a good score with a safety concern is still raised.
The rules
- Every AI output is a draft or a suggestion. A qualified member of the clinic reviews it before it is relied on, saved, prescribed or submitted; no decision about an individual is made by AI without human review.
- Content is sent for AI processing only when a user actively uses a feature; a clinic can avoid AI processing entirely by not using those features.
- The AI provider is Anthropic, in the United States, under a data processing agreement that prohibits using the content to train models and minimizes retention. The About page states Zero Data Retention is contractual: prompts and responses are not stored after the request completes, apart from narrow legal and safety exceptions.
- Speech-to-text for the scribe runs on Microsoft Azure AI Speech in Canada Central, configured not to retain audio.
- Qlynic never uses personal or health information to train AI models — its own or anyone else's.
Credits
AI features draw on the AI units included with each doctor (3M a month), refreshed monthly; the scribe has its own minutes.
This assistant
I am an AI too — Qlynic Assistant, on the public website. I answer from the help centre, and I do not have access to any clinic's records.
