Telehealth video visits

A video visit is just a visit — same booking, same chart, same billing; the patient taps a link from the email or SMS, agrees to a confidential video visit and joins in the browser with no app, the clinic admits them from the same queue it uses for in-person, and 400 minutes a month per doctor are included in every plan.

Both sides

Clinic: same login, same dashboard. Telehealth lives next to in-person visits in the same queue; the drawer collapses to a floating tab so the queue stays reachable mid-call, and the encounter saves to the same chart. Patient: a link by email and SMS, a lobby, one tap to agree to a confidential video visit, and full-screen video with a big end button. Nothing to download on either side.

The pipeline

Booking creates the room, the email and text write themselves, the visit runs in the browser with the same SOAP note and prescribing flow, and — for Alberta — the claim goes out over H-Link like any in-person visit.

Price

Bundled in every plan with no per-doctor add-on: 400 telehealth minutes a month per doctor, pooled, refreshed on the first.

Privacy and transport

The application and database are hosted in Microsoft Azure's Canada Central region. The live call media itself is carried by Daily.co over a global media edge, encrypted in transit (DTLS-SRTP), and is not recorded; no chart, claim or record content goes to Daily.co, and the patient's display name is passed so the clinician knows who joined. Every telehealth event — room created, patient joined, doctor admitted, visit ended — is logged with a timestamp and the user.

If the video provider is down

Video visits cannot start; the in-person clinic runs normally and the appointment can be turned into a phone visit without losing the booking.
