Clinical

The chart, prescribing, orders, forms, the scribe, the portal and telehealth.

  1. Live Where AI is used, and the rules it follows How does Qlynic use AI, and is patient data used to train models? AI drafts and suggests — the visit note, the booking conversation over SMS, an allergy cross-check on a suggestion, intake-form questions, the advisor's answers about your own records — and a clinician reviews every one before it counts; processing runs through Anthropic under a data processing agreement with no model training and minimized retention, and speech-to-text runs on Azure AI Speech in Canada.
  2. Optional add-on The AI Scribe How does the AI Scribe work, and where does the audio go? With consent attested by the clinician on screen, microphone audio streams from the browser straight to Azure AI Speech in Canada Central and is converted to text — Qlynic's servers never touch it and no audio is kept — and what comes back is one SOAP draft the provider reviews and signs, plus (for Alberta) billing codes resolved against Alberta's own tables; $99 per provider per month with 600 minutes included, and only voiced audio is streamed and billed.
  3. Live The chart and clinical notes What is the EMR and charting like in Qlynic? A chart that shows who wrote every word and when — SOAP notes with each line attributed to the AI draft, the doctor or the intake form, a signed note that locks the chart and keeps every later change with its author, allergies on the chart beside the prescription, and the AHCIP claim built from the same record.
  4. Live Patient intake forms How do AI intake forms work, and can patients fill them before the visit? Describe the form in a sentence and Qlynic drafts the questions with the right control for each (one AI credit), you edit it, and patients fill it on their own phone during booking — assigned to one doctor or the whole clinic, on every visit, first visit only, or when the booking reason matches keywords; a required form has no skip button and a half-answered form is never kept.
  5. Live Lab, imaging and referral requisitions Can I raise lab, imaging and referral orders during the visit? A lab, imaging or referral requisition is written in the room — numbered, pre-filled from the record, printed on Alberta's own APL 21302 general laboratory requisition and sent to the patient as a secure link by text and email that is valid for thirty days; only a login linked to a provider profile can order, and only for its own appointments. Inbound results are not built yet.
  6. Live The patient portal and open notes What can patients do in the Qlynic patient portal? Patients book, fill intake forms, join video visits and read their own notes — the record itself, line for line, the same words the clinician wrote (Level 3 open notes), with visibility configurable per item where a result needs a conversation first; there is nothing to install and the account is the patient's verified phone.
  7. Live Prescribing and allergy cross-checks Does Qlynic check prescriptions against patient allergies? Yes — alongside a direct name match Qlynic knows three cross-reactive families (penicillins, sulfonamides and NSAIDs), so a patient recorded as allergic to sulfa is flagged when Bactrim is proposed; it is a flag, never a block, medications are coded against a drug vocabulary or kept honestly as free text, and electronic transmission to a pharmacy (PrescribeIT) is not available yet.
  8. Live Telehealth video visits How do video visits work in Qlynic? A video visit is just a visit — same booking, same chart, same billing; the patient taps a link from the email or SMS, agrees to a confidential video visit and joins in the browser with no app, the clinic admits them from the same queue it uses for in-person, and 400 minutes a month per doctor are included in every plan.
