When the clinic's internet goes down

Reminders, messages and confirmations run from Qlynic's Canadian servers rather than your front desk, so they keep flowing; staff need a connection to use the clinical application — there is no offline mode — and a phone hotspot is a fallback until the router recovers, where your clinic's own policy allows it.

Your connection

Qlynic is hosted in Microsoft Azure's Canada Central region, not on a computer in your clinic. When the clinic's internet drops, reminders, texts and confirmations already scheduled keep going out from the server, and online booking keeps working for patients. Staff need a connection to use the clinical application: Qlynic has no offline clinical mode. A phone hotspot is a conditional fallback — enough to reach the record while the router recovers, subject to your clinic's own policy on personal devices.

Our dependencies

The About page lists the seven services Qlynic depends on and what stops when each fails. Only one — Microsoft Azure — can take the clinic off the air, and Microsoft's status page is the source of truth on it. Card payments (Stripe) and video visits (Daily.co) each stop one feature; Alberta H-Link, the AI provider, SMS (Twilio) and email (SendGrid) degrade: claims queue and go when H-Link returns, unsent texts or emails are visible rather than silent, and the other channel keeps working.

Qlynic does not publish an uptime figure or a guarantee; the Terms say the service aims to be available at all times but is not warranted uninterrupted.
