Patients & messaging

Reminders, two-way SMS, reviews and payments.

  1. Policy If you are a patient I am a patient — can Qlynic help me with my appointment, results or records? Your clinic is the custodian of your health record and the place to go for appointments, results, prescriptions and corrections; Qlynic is the system your clinic uses and cannot look into or change your record for you — if you write to Qlynic directly about your records the request is referred to your clinic within five business days — and you can decline the AI scribe at any visit.
  2. Live Patient payments on your own Stripe account How do patient payments work, and does Qlynic take a share? The card is charged on the clinic's own connected Stripe account — Qlynic takes $0.00 and uses none of Stripe's three platform-share mechanisms; the only deduction is Stripe's own processing fee — and Qlynic reads what happened, records the fee and the net against the visit, stamps the doctor's share on it, raises a flag when money needs a person (a duplicate payment, money on a cancelled visit), and never refunds, holds or moves a dollar.
  3. Live Appointment reminders How do appointment reminders work? Set as many reminders as you want, each by how far ahead it fires (thirty minutes to thirty days, no two at the same offset — seven days, one day and one hour is common), by email, SMS or both; a text measures itself to stay inside one 160-character segment, patients can reply CANCEL, RESCHEDULE or STOP, STOP is honoured before every send, and every reminder is logged as it goes so it is never sent twice.
  4. Live Patient reviews How do patient reviews work, and how is a worrying review escalated? About an hour after the visit the patient is asked to rate it on five pomegranate seeds with an optional 500-character comment; the comment is read on submit by a keyword pass, so a four-out-of-five that mentions a safety concern is raised as urgent and on every open dashboard within the second, and escalating it is a person's decision that requires a written reason, emails the clinic owner, and is written to the audit log.
  5. Live Two-way SMS and the after-hours booking assistant How does the AI answer patient text messages and book appointments by SMS? Patients can text the clinic and an AI answers from your settings and books only through the same validator your front desk uses, so it cannot be talked into a slot that does not exist; the cage around it is the point — a visit reason is mandatory, a required intake form cannot be skipped, no patient record is ever created by SMS, emergency wording is matched before the model is called, STOP is honoured at the webhook, per-clinic spend and per-number caps run first, and outgoing messages are scanned and stripped of invented dosing advice.
