When Alberta Health is unreachable
Claims that can't go out queue locally and are never dropped; the next submission from anywhere in the clinic sweeps the backlog first, every attempt is written to the audit log with the environment it ran against, and clinical work — seeing patients, charting, signing prescriptions — never touches the wire.

What you see
"Saved and queued — Alberta Health is unreachable right now. It will be sent automatically." Nothing is lost and nothing is re-keyed.
What happens underneath
- Claims that can't go out queue locally, never dropped.
- The next submission from anywhere in the clinic sweeps the backlog first, so the outage usually heals itself before anyone notices there was one.
- Every attempt is attributable in the audit log — batch built, upload failed, upload succeeded on auto-retry — with the environment it ran against.
What never stops
Clinical work never touches the wire. You see patients, write encounters and sign prescriptions whether or not the province's billing system is answering.
The fine print
H-Link availability, maintenance windows and submission schedules are controlled by Alberta Health and can change; Arxeon adapts the platform to specification changes within a reasonable time. If Alberta Health suspends or modifies Arxeon's submitter role, or H-Link becomes unavailable, affected clinics are notified without unreasonable delay and submission may be paused while service is restored.
